Test Preparation
As The College Board says on its website, over 2 million kids will take the SAT this year.
About 1.5 million will take the ACT.
Only a very small percentage will feel as though they're ready.
It's our business to get you more "ready" than you thought possible.
Getting your ideal score on a high-stakes test like the SAT or the ACT calls for more than slogging through practice tests and more than working on your reading, writing and math. It even calls for more than taking a prep course, or reading a book about beating the testing game, or watching how-to videos. Getting your ideal score means handling the inevitable stress that twists your mind into knots and the distractions that take it off track, even while you build your skills and hone your approach.
Success =
Skills, Strategy, Focus and Mindset
In the Venn diagram above, success is at the center of four circles – strategies, skills, focus and mindset. The more we develop in each of these areas, the greater our chance at an ideal score. Any one by itself may bring some measure of improvement, but all four are necessary to draw out our full potential.
Working with us, students can expect to significantly raise their scores, on the average over 200 - 300 points on their next SAT, or 5 - 10 points on an ACT. Core components of our training include:
Expert instruction in Reading, Writing and Mathematics. If skills are solid, we’ll make them stronger; if skills are weak, we’ll teach them and strengthen them
Practical skills, tools and training for reducing fear and maximizing confidence and peak performance
Training in general problem-solving , focus and concentration
Proven, successful strategies for each type of problem, in every area
Mindful-based stress reduction techniques, tools and practice
